Frequently A sked Questions
Will your garden art rust?
Yes and no. Certain pieces are designed to rust naturally, but rest assured the welds and the metal itself is thick enough so it will never be anything more than surface rust. All pieces come with a lifetime warranty. The pieces that will not rust are coated with a high-grade automotive enamel or powder coating and the metal used for coated pieces is rust proof zinc coated metal.
Will your sculptures hold up in coastal environments where a lot of salt is in the air?
Yes. I warranty all of my pieces for my life.
If I order online, when, and how do I pay?
As soon as the order is complete I take a picture of the finished piece and email it to you. I then take the piece to my preferred carrier and receive a shipping quote for your order. After the item has been purchased and shipped, I scan and email a receipt for the shipping along with the tracking number.
How do you create your metal garden sculptures?
Each piece is hand crafted by myself. I begin by designing each piece using computer drafting program. I then use a plasma torch to cut each piece from sheet metal. After the pieces have been tumbled to remove rough edges I weld each piece together to create a three dimensional sculpture. That is the end of the process for pieces which are meant to age and rust naturally. The ones that get painted are then sand-blasted and either powder coated or finished with a high-end automotive enamel.
Will you create custom pieces?
Of course. My artwork is limited only by our imaginations. Contact me and we can talk more about your ideas.
Can I order larger pieces?
Yes. Contact me to discuss dimensions.
Can I order smaller pieces?
Yes and no. My metal wall artwork can be scaled down, however, the small garden sculptures cannot.
What is your inspiration for these pieces?
My artistic endeavor is to add a positive reflection of nature to your home, garden, or work space which will last a lifetime.
Do your sculptures come with a guarantee?
All my metal artwork is hand-crafted to last longer than a lifetime. Each piece of metal art comes with a lifetime guarantee against normal wear and tear. This means if any welds are defective, salt water erodes the metal, the metal breaks, etc I will replace the artwork or offer a refund. However if you decide to drag it behind a car, shoot it, throw it of a mountain cliff, etc; I will not take responsibility for damage.
Tell me about the Painted Metal Sculptures
I begin by sand blasting each piece. I will then prime and paint it with at least three coats of high quality automotive enamel (better than any car) or have the piece powder coated.
What is “powder coating”?
Powder coating is a process which involves three steps. The first step is the process of statically charging the metal piece to ensure an even coating. Secondly, the piece is sprayed with an evenly applied powder which bonds to the metal due to the static charging. Lastly, the layers of powder are baked at extreme high temperatures. The end result is a coating that will last a lifetime.
Tell me about the Unpainted Metal Sculptures
I create two versions of each sculpture: painted and unpainted. Some people prefer their metal artwork to naturally rust giving them an earthy look. Don't worry if you live where it rains a lot or you're near salty water; I create each sculpture to withstand the harshest environments and offer a lifetime guarantee with each one. Also some people prefer to custom paint their sculpture which is perfectly ok. You probably even noticed that you can save a little money with the unpainted metal sculptures for obvious reasons.
What exactly are “limited edition” garden sculptures?
Limited edition pieces are crafted from aluminum and have inlayed stained glass or metal flake glitter incorporated into the design. We spare no expense in their creation. They are specifically designed for the connoisseur who is looking for something truly unique.
Do you offer discounts for large or multiple orders?
Discounts are offered depending on the size of the order. Contact me and we can discuss the details of your order.
Can I choose any color for my metal sculpture?
Yes. To have your metal artwork painted in colors different from what is shown in my gallery; please contact me to discuss your options.
How long will it take to receive your metal artwork?
If you purchase an item which I have on hand I can ship the next business day. If I must create the piece it can take 1-2 weeks. Large orders and custom orders vary. When the order is placed we can discuss specific deadlines.
